We are currently hiring Medical Courier Drivers for established healthcare routes throughout San Diego.
Role Overview
Medical Courier Drivers are responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, laboratory materials, medical supplies, instruments, and confidential documents between healthcare facilities.
This is a W2 employee position, not an independent contractor (1099) role. We provide consistent shifts, professional training, and the support needed to help you succeed. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, as every delivery directly supports patient care.


Schedule Information

  • Fixed routes for consistency and predictable schedules
  • Weekday and weekend opportunities available


Compensation & Employment

  • Annual Pay:$45,000-$75,000
  • W-2 Employee, at-will

Vehicle Information

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely transport medical specimens, including temperature sensitive materials, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, instruments, mail, and confidential documents.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records using mobile applications and electronic or paper manifests.
  • Maintain proper chain of custody for all shipments.
  • Follow all customer, safety, and company procedures when entering and exiting healthcare facilities.
  • Properly handle medical shipments according to company training and regulatory requirements.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the workday.
  • Complete all pickups and deliveries within scheduled service windows.
  • Communicate delays, incidents, or service issues promptly to Dispatch or Operations.
  • Represent Accurate Courier Services professionally with customers and healthcare personnel at all times.


Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to:


  • Load and unload, lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 49 pounds.
  • Bend, twist, reach, squat, and stand repeatedly.
  • Enter and exit vehicles frequently.
  • Safely lift and handle packages using proper body mechanics.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be provided in accordance with applicable law.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and required health screenings.
  • Negative TB test (provided by the company).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following detailed procedures.
  • Familiarity with San Diego roadways is preferred.
  • Previous professional driving or delivery experience is a plus.
