Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support software development, configuration management, system image creation, patch installation, and application maintenance for Linux based and limited Windows systems operating within high performance, multi server computing environments.

  • Assist with data processing tasks, including reducing telemetry, TSPI, and range activity data; support live mission software execution, post mission analysis, and integration of proprietary tools and IP within collaborative development teams.

  • Provide technical support for network implementation, system integration, hardware configuration (servers, routers, switches), troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure secure, reliable, recoverable operational capabilities.

  • Conduct software testing, quality assurance actions, and security evaluations; support Security Impact Analyses, ATO related documentation, and accreditation activities in coordination with cybersecurity personnel.

  • Assist with mission support actions including setup of test mission environments, data visualization, pre /post mission software execution, system configuration documentation, and maintenance of facility related IT assets.


Required Qualifications

  • 3-10 years of software development or systems integration experience supporting Linux or mixed OS environments, preferably within DoD or test range operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform functional duties including coding, configuration, troubleshooting, version control, testing, and documentation.

  • Experience supporting HPC, real time systems, or classified computing environments; familiarity with networking fundamentals, storage arrays, system recovery workflows, and hardware/software integration.

  • Working knowledge of software QA processes, security evaluation methods, and accreditation support tasks (STIG, ATO, SIA, CM, SAT).

  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, mission support, and data analysis teams.


Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Security+, Network+, or similar certifications preferred (not required for position but beneficial).


Clearance Requirement

  • Active SECRET clearance.

  • U.S. citizenship required.
