Hilltop Securities is looking to hire a Risk Analysis Associate. The Risk Analysis Associate is part of the Strategic & Risk Management team that helps build a robust governance framework to manage the firm's market, liquidity, and credit risks. This is a junior analyst role working in partnership with experienced SMEsย to build knowledge of covered products and relevant risk trends. Role reviews and interprets large data sets, as well as monitoring and analyzing various risk, requiring great attention to detail, some independent judgement and collaboration to help resolve complex problems.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university with a degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldย 
  • Previous experience in a financial institution a plusย 
  • Working knowledge of financial markets, fixed income products, and trading lifecycle a plusย 
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including extensive knowledge of MS Excelย 
  • Candidate MUST have authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret large data sets.ย 
  • Working knowledge of Excel/VBA, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.ย
