Position Overview:

The Millwright will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial equipment used in manufacturing and production operations. The Millwright will install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move equipment on work sites. They will work on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors (screw/paddle/belt), values and piping, etc. They must be able to read highly technical instructions and blueprints on equipment systems. Knowledge on how machinery works so repairs can be made when needed. Must be willing to work in various conditions (wet/dry, clean/dirty, hot/cold, inside/outside). Candidate will use a variety of hand and power tools, such as impacts, wrenches, as well as equipment for welding, brazing, and cutting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment such as power generators, turbines, mining devices, assembly line machinery, and machinist tools.
  • Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, spud wrenches, micrometers, laser alignment and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust piping, valves, pumps, and other various equipment.
  • Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes machines.
  • Dismantling of existing connected and independent equipment.
  • Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise.
  • Performs preventive maintenance makes repairs on older machines.
  • Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery.
  • Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
  • Conducts safety inspections of facilities.
  • Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  • Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.
