Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage claim investigations, primarily handling bodily injury claims in Texas and Illinois, including interviewing all involved parties through detailed recorded telephone statements, collecting/evaluating documentation, securing evidence and conducting thorough searches using known industry databases
  • Analyze obtained documentation and evidence, evaluate coverage, determine liability and extent of damages
  • Prepares claim status reports containing claim evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and legal consultation
  • Effectively document records, update status notes, results of external information gathering and other relevant reports
  • Process payment of claims
Qualifications
  • 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience handling non-standard automobile lines
  • Must be able to commute to our Oak Brook, IL office up to 3 days a week
  • Experience handling policy coverage, claim investigation, and negligence laws
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and high call volume environment
  • Ability to be part of a team and work independently
  • Active Texas license (preferred)
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Degree in Business, Criminology, Political Science, Sociology, or Psychology (preferred)
