Job description

King Transit Enterprise LLC is now hiring for an Independent Contractor for pre-engineered kits, such as gazebos, pergolas, swing sets, and storage shed installations. The Independent Contractor must be a 2 to 3-man team. The following types of projects are also available for assembly: saunas, indoor/outdoor furniture, and fitness equipment. Fitness equipment will include assemblies, repairs, and diagnostics. Please review the job listing details and apply now. We're seeking to contract with an Independent Contractor to service the most well-known recreational, furniture and fitness equipment brands. Our dedicated teams of independent contractors offer fast and reliable home services for many high-end companies; sending goods directly to consumers. **PLEASE NOTE This is a 1099 contractor position.**

Georgia Job Locations - Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, & Columbus

Alabama Job Locations - Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, & Phenix City

General Qualifications

  • Minimum 25 years+ of age
  • 1-2 years experience performing in-home/store/business delivery, repairs, assemblies, and customer service.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • No commercial license required
  • Must have a clean driving record for the past three years
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Test
  • Must have a clean background check
  • Have the ability to safely load, maneuver, and remove fitness equipment, such as, haul-aways; with dolly and by hand
  • Must be able to properly use cargo equipment to ensure safe deliveries to prevent damaging cargo en route to each designation
  • Physically fit to climb stairs when necessary (including with an appliance dolly)
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy to complete all work
  • Capable of working in any weather condition (outdoor jobs will require certain weather conditions to perform job duties)
  • Willing to work 5 to 6 days per week
  • Possess the skill to read and comprehend manufacturers manuals and instructions
  • Knowledge and ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, analyze, identify and repair when required
  • Must possess your own transportation and your own tools to complete the work accepted
  • Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications - Gazebos, Pergolas, Swing Sets, and Storage Sheds

  • Must have a 2 to 3-man team
  • Experience with outdoor wood and metal structures is highly preferred
  • We are looking for people with pick-up trucks, cargo vans, or sprinter vans
  • Additional work with saunas, fitness equipment, and furniture are also available
  • If your team can meet these expectations, we want you as our next contractor!
  • Must own your vehicle: cargo van, sprinter, or smaller box truck
  • Other vehicles may be reviewed for acceptance
  • Must have a reliable helper
  • Must be willing to travel up to 125 mile radius
  • Must own hand and power tools and have the experience and mechanical aptitude to build products to manufacturer specifications
  • GVWR MUST BE Below 10,000 lbs for consideration
  • Must comply with Alabama state laws for the vehicle being used to complete work
  • Background and Drug Screens are performed on all contractors including helpers
  • MVR are performed for all driving contractors
  • You must be committed to providing exceptional customer service, be tech savvy with a mobile phone and excellent communication skills
