Job description

Location: Washington, DC Salary: $70.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a PKI Engineer to support a newly awarded effort with a large government agency. This position is fully onsite in DC.
The PKI Engineer serves as a subject-matter expert in credential management systems with a primary focus on Intercede MyID, PKI, and associated identity and access management technologies. This role provides advanced engineering, troubleshooting, and cloud-support services while collaborating with development, security, and infrastructure teams to design and maintain secure, scalable, automated solutions. The Cloud DevOps / Credential Management Engineer works independently or as part of a cross-functional team to support mission-critical environments.
Work independently or as a member of a delivery team to provide infrastructure, engineering, and operational support for Cloud-hosted applications delivered through client Cloud Services.
Support environments operating on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.
Use Terraform and/or Ansible to manage, configure, and automate cloud systems across Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
Collaborate closely with application development teams to design, develop, and maintain CI/CD automation workflows across all services and applications.
Automate provisioning and setup of new application environments for testing, staging, and production.
Design and implement application build packaging and deployment automation using industry best practices and tooling.
Implement performance monitoring systems, establish baselines, and configure proactive alerting to support incident management and operational stability.
Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues, leveraging appropriate resources to drive timely resolution and minimize user impact.
Continuously improve processes, automation, and system designs to enhance system reliability, maintainability, and security.
Ensure and reinforce application of best-practice security principles across systems.
Identify recurring technical issues and perform root-cause analysis to deliver durable remediation.
Provide system-level support for credential management solutions including Intercede MyID, HID credentialing technologies, and PKI systems.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and configuration of drivers, middleware, smart cards, authentication devices, and related software components.
Support and maintain Windows Server environments and perform database administration tasks related to Intercede and credentialing systems.
What You Will Need:
Minimum of FIVE (5) years of relevant IT or engineering experience, including at least 1-2 years of cloud support experience.
Hands-on experience working with credential management systems including Intercede MyID, HID solutions, PKI infrastructures, and certificate lifecycle management platforms.
Proven experience troubleshooting drivers, middleware, credentialing software, and authentication technologies.
Experience supporting and engineering Windows environments, as well as performing DBA responsibilities for Intercede or similar systems.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
A Master's degree may substitute for four years of experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance; candidates must receive adjudication prior to onboarding.
