Job description

Project Manager – Commercial Architectural Millwork

O'Keefe Millwork | Onsite- River Falls, WI

Build Exceptional Projects with a Team That Values Your Expertise

O'Keefe Millwork has been delivering custom architectural millwork for more than 40 years. Our team partners with general contractors, architects, and owners across the country to bring complex commercial projects to life through exceptional craftsmanship, collaboration, and attention to detail.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys building relationships just as much as managing projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service from project kickoff through final installation.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your experience is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your work has a direct impact on the success of the company, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Manage commercial architectural millwork projects from award through final completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, architects, and internal teams.
  • Review contracts, specifications, architectural drawings, and project documents.
  • Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, material procurement, production schedules, and installation timelines.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Field Installation to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions before they impact schedules or budgets.
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through clear communication and exceptional service.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule while meeting quality expectations.
  • Travel periodically to project sites and customer meetings as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing commercial architectural millwork, casework, cabinetry, or woodworking projects.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience coordinating with customers, architects, contractors, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize changing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Microvellum, ProjectPAK, or similar industry software is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their projects while working collaboratively with the rest of the team. The ideal candidate communicates well, builds trust with customers, remains calm under pressure, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve problems.

Success in this role comes from being organized, adaptable, and committed to delivering an outstanding experience for both our customers and our internal teams.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental amp; Vision Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Short amp; Long-Term Disability
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off amp; Paid Holidays
  • Career Growth Opportunities
  • Stable Company with a Strong Backlog of Work

Why O'Keefe Millwork?
