They ensure that documents are properly signed, dated, and notarized, and that the signing process complies with legal requirements. Unlike employees, they work independently, often for multiple title companies, lenders, or signing services. Their role helps prevent fraud and ensures the authenticity of signatures on legal documents.

To thrive as an Independent Contractor Notary Signing Agent, you need a valid notary commission, a thorough understanding of loan documents, and attention to detail. Familiarity with digital signing platforms, secure document handling, and possessing certification from organizations like the National Notary Association are typically required. Exceptional communication, reliability, and professionalism help build trust with clients and facilitate smooth closings. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring legal compliance, preventing errors, and fostering repeat business in a highly regulated industry.

What are some common challenges faced by independent contractor notary signing agents, and how can they be managed?

heal Houston

Houston Heights, TX • Remote

Contractor

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

heal Houston is a new therapy space at 2410 Ella Blvd in the Heights dedicated to Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) for chronic head and neck pain. We maintain a clinical space agreement with headacheMD Houston, a board-certified headache medicine practice led by Dr. Pamela Blake — giving contracted clinicians a built-in referral pathway from an established patient population.

We are seeking one or two licensed psychologists who are trained in EAET methods to establish an independent clinical practice within our furnished, HIPAA-compliant suite.

The Opportunity

• Fully furnished clinical office within an active headache medicine environment

• Administrative, scheduling, and marketing support provided

• Direct referral pathway from headacheMD Houston's 2,500+ patient database

• Focus on a growing, evidence-based modality with strong published outcomes

• Flexibility to build your caseload on your schedule

How This Works

This is an independent contractor arrangement — not employment. You bring your license, your clinical judgment, and your malpractice coverage. We provide the space, patient flow, and operational infrastructure.

As an independent contractor, you will:

• Maintain full autonomy over your schedule, clinical decisions, and treatment methods (while maintaining a foundation of EAET),

• Carry your own professional liability / malpractice insurance

• Be responsible for your own licensure, continuing education, and board compliance

• Set your own hours and patient volume

heal Houston provides:

• Furnished, HIPAA-compliant clinical space at 2410 Ella Blvd, Houston, TX 77008

• Marketing, brand development, and patient acquisition through healhou.com

• Scheduling and intake coordination

• Referral coordination with the headacheMD network

• IT and digital signage infrastructure
