What is an independent contractor invisible fence installer?

Independent Contractor Invisible Fence installers are professionals who are not direct employees of Invisible Fence but are contracted to install, maintain, and repair Invisible Fence pet containment systems. They typically work with customers to assess property layouts, install underground wiring, set up transmitters, and provide training on the system's use. These contractors may also offer troubleshooting and support services to ensure pets remain safely contained. Their independent status allows them to work with multiple brands or services, providing flexibility and expertise to pet owners.

Familiarity with tools such as trenchers, wire locators, and pet containment system components is typically expected. Strong customer service, problem-solving abilities, and time management are essential soft skills for working independently and ensuring client satisfaction. These competencies are crucial for delivering safe, efficient installations and building a reputable business in a competitive market.

Job description

We are a fence company looking for independent fence contractors for residential installations. We are expanding our customer base and are looking to hire multiple independent contractors to help us accommodate this growth.
Independent contractors who partner with our company should have at least 2 years of residential fence installation experience for wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link products. Additionally, each contractor crew should be able to provide an FEIN, general liability, commercial auto & worker's compensation insurance, a work truck, and all necessary tools.
All crews should be reliable, diligent, and detail-oriented workers. Crews should also be comfortable with communicating with homeowners throughout the project installation: 1) At the start of work to confirm layout, 2) throughout the install as issues arise, and 3) at the completion of installation to verify customer satisfaction.
The fencing season is predominantly March through October, however we install all year. We are looking for independent contractors that can handle a high volume of projects during these peak months and are looking for work to keep them busy in the fall and winter. Our company does not require contractors to work with us exclusively.
Candidates must have daily access to a reliable work truck with all tools needed to complete the projects assigned.
Rates are determined on a per project basis.
This is an immediate need. Please provide details of previous projects and construction build experience. References are preferred but not required.
