"Interventional Radiologist / Interventional NeuroradiologistPosition OverviewSeeking a Fellowship-Trained Interventional Radiologist (IR) or Interventional Neuroradiologist/Neurologist (INR) to provide 24-hour thrombectomy call coverage in a hospital-based stroke program. This opportunity focuses on emergent stroke intervention and neurovascular procedures.Compensation:Open ratesSchedule14 shifts per month available24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Continuous call with callback responsibilitiesSchedule based on provider availabilityPractice SettingHospital-basedInpatient onlyStroke-focused practiceNo outpatient responsibilitiesNo telehealthNo teaching responsibilitiesResponsibilitiesProvide 24-hour thrombectomy call coveragePerform emergent mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic strokeRespond to stroke alerts and urgent callback casesManage inpatient neurovascular emergenciesPerform image-guided vascular interventionsCollaborate with Neurology and Interventional Radiology teams to provide timely stroke carePractice InformationApproximately 1,000 stroke patients annuallyApproximately 165 thrombectomy procedures annuallySupported by a dedicated Interventional Radiology team9 Neurologists on staffProceduresMechanical thrombectomyImage-guided vascular interventionsAcute stroke interventionNeurovascular emergency proceduresEMREpicRequirementsFellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Interventional Neuroradiology/Neurology (INR)Must independently perform mechanical thrombectomyActive Iowa license or Active IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ)Must specify the number of shifts available per monthClean malpractice and background historyCurrent Self-Query NPDB report (within 30 days)Additional InformationHospital-based stroke coverage onlyOngoing thrombectomy call coverageCredentialing requires all submission documents prior to presentation"
