Job description

Position Summary
  • We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of professional engineering experience to join our Engineering team. This individual will play a key role in the design, implementation, and execution of capital projects supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to company quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, and execution of capital engineering projects.
  • Lead and assist with End-of-Line (EOL) automation projects, including equipment integration and production line improvements.
  • Support issuing system projects focused on improving manufacturing efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in liquid manufacturing line upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements.
  • Develop equipment layouts, mechanical designs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Automation Engineering to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist with equipment commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
  • Ensure projects comply with company safety standards, GMP requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or capital project execution.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
  • Experience with automated packaging systems, conveyors, robotics, or material handling equipment.
  • Experience with Packaging Materials.
  • Experience with CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of machine safety principles and applicable industry standards.
