Scope:

Client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a growing portfolio of product development initiatives following the departure of a key team member and an increase in project workload. This individual will play a critical role in the design, development, and support of electrical and electronic products, helping drive projects through all phases of the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience designing electronic systems, developing PCB architectures, creating schematics and layouts in Altium Designer, and troubleshooting complex hardware systems. This role is best suited for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on product development environment and can independently lead electrical design efforts while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Duties:

  • Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new and existing products.
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, architecture, and technical documentation using Altium Designer.
  • Design and analyze mixed-signal, digital, analog, DC power, and limited AC power circuits.
  • Support board-level design, hardware integration, testing, and validation activities.
  • Perform hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on complex electrical systems.
  • Support EMI/EMC testing, compliance activities, and certification efforts.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and make engineering trade-offs related to performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Lead electrical design activities through all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Software, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
  • Support prototype builds, product verification, qualification testing, and manufacturing transfers.
  • Create and maintain schematics, BOMs, design specifications, test procedures, and engineering reports.
  • Assess technical risks and recommend product design approaches and solutions.
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex product development and system-level issues.

Necessary Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 6-12+ years of professional experience in electrical or electronic product development.
  • Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Electronic circuit design (schematic Capture) and analysis
    • Power distribution and power electronics
    • Analog and digital electronics (Mixed-signal)
    • PCB design and layout
    • Hardware integration and testing
    • Product/Electronic troubleshooting, Hardware Debugging, root cause analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
