Job description

Shift and Time: Day Shift, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay: Starting at $26+ an hour depending on experience

Summary:

  • Manufacture traffic control and specialty signs using CNC laser equipment.
  • Operate, load, configure, and calibrate CNC laser machines according to design specifications and blueprints.
  • Assist with machine setup, including CNC program retrieval, lens calibration, and material preparation for daily production.
  • Verify materials are appropriate for each project and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
  • Perform quality inspections, complete required documentation, and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Assist with programming, calibration, preventative maintenance, servicing, and basic repairs of CNC laser equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, ensuring CNC equipment and work areas remain free of hazards.
  • Organize, monitor, and track inventory, including assisting with quarterly inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the Metal Fabrication Supervisor and Lead to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Serve as a resource for new employees by answering questions and providing operational guidance.
  • Participate in weekly Sign Shop meetings focused on safety, training, production schedules, deadlines, and product knowledge.
  • Support additional production and shop responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of metal fabrication, CNC and laser equipment. Prior experience in a sign manufacturing environment is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
