Job description

A fast-growing entrepreneurial law firm founded by attorneys from top international platforms is seeking an Investment Funds Partner to join its expanding Funds Group. The opportunity is also open to exceptional Counsel and Senior Associate-level attorneys with sophisticated investment funds experience.

The firm represents private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, founders, family offices, emerging managers, and other high-growth investment platforms. The environment is highly collaborative, business-minded, and intentionally non-siloed.

  • An entrepreneurial platform with meaningful growth runway
  • Greater ownership and visibility
  • Direct client interaction and relationship development
  • Sophisticated national-level work without excessive bureaucracy
  • Long-term partnership potential within a growing practice

Unlike many partner opportunities, a substantial portable book is not required. The firm is focused on strong technical attorneys with leadership capability, strong client service skills, and long-term growth potential.

What You’ll Work On
  • Sophisticated fund formation and fundraising matters
  • Advising private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, credit fund, and real asset sponsors
  • Structuring and negotiating LPAs, side letters, subscription agreements, and related fund documentation
  • Advising on Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, ERISA, and related regulatory matters
  • Serving as a strategic advisor to sponsors throughout the fund lifecycle
  • Collaborating closely with an experienced and highly respected funds team
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Base compensation ranging from $385K–$425K
  • Hybrid and remote flexibility available
  • Open to attorneys located throughout the U.S.
  • Sophisticated and nationally recognized practice
  • Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented platform
  • Strong internal support and cross-partner collaboration
  • Meaningful opportunity to expand client relationships and practice development exposure
  • Collegial culture with direct access to firm leadership
  • Clear long-term growth trajectory
Ideal Background
  • 7–10 years of investment funds experience
  • Strong fund formation and fundraising experience
  • Experience advising sophisticated fund sponsors
  • Ability to independently manage complex matters and client relationships
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Highly Valued Experience
  • Private equity funds
  • Venture capital funds
  • Hedge funds
  • Credit and debt funds
  • Real estate or infrastructure funds
  • Emerging managers
  • GP-led secondaries
  • Co-investment vehicles

Open to confidential conversations with attorneys interested in exploring a high-growth platform with sophisticated work and long-term opportunity.
