Job description

Basic Function and Distinguishing Characteristics Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, monitor assigned mental health clients and probate conservatorship clients to assure the delivery of psychiatric, medical, and conservatorship services and to assure proper linkage to social, economic and community resources. Case Management Technician I incumbents monitor a small caseload and work in a training capacity under close supervision. Case Management Technician II is the experienced-level classification in the series.

Incumbents are assigned a large caseload and operate independently. Case Management III is the advanced-level classification in the series. Incumbents are assigned a highly specialized and more complex caseload and operate with a higher degree of independence.

Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in psychology, social science or related field and three years of related experience in a social service environment. Valid California driver's license. Supplemental Information A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC 160020.
