Overview
A global biopharmaceutical company on a mission to Solve On, Incyte follows science to find solutions for patients with unmet medical needs. Through the discovery, development, and commercialization of proprietary therapeutics, Incyte has established a portfolio of first-in-class medicines for patients and a strong pipeline of products in Hematology, Oncology and Inflammation and Autoimmunity

Job Summary (Primary function)
The Sr. Research Scientist, Myeloid Disease/In Vivo Scientist performs and analyzes preclinical rodent studies in support of drug discovery programs.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
  • Conduct in vivo studies to evaluate pharmacodynamic/pharmacokinetic/efficacy relationships of pipeline agents and relevant therapeutics
  • Perform dosing, sample collection, and health monitoring of animals
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop new IACUC approved protocols and models when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards (e.g., IACUC, GLP where applicable)
  • Troubleshoot experimental challenges and optimize in vivo models and procedures.
  • Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies relevant to in vivo research.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
  • Extensive experience in Pharma/Biotech is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on industry experience with in vivo models
  • Expertise in animal handling, dosing techniques (e.g., oral gavage, IV, IP), and sample collection methods.
  • Experience with disease models (e.g., oncology, hematology) is preferred.
  • Experience writing or using institutional animal care and use protocols
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel; familiarity with statistical methods).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
