Join Our Team as a Licensed Massage Therapist

Are you passionate about helping people reduce pain, relieve stress, improve mobility, and experience greater health and well-being?

Massage on the Run Wholistic Center in Huntington Village, New York, is seeking skilled, compassionate Licensed Massage Therapists to join our integrative wellness team. We offer flexible scheduling, a supportive professional environment, mentorship, and opportunities to receive training in holistic therapy enhancements and health and wellness programs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, personalized massage therapy and wellness treatments based on each client’s needs, concerns, and goals.
  • Help clients reduce muscular tension, manage discomfort, improve mobility, encourage relaxation, and support overall health and well-being.
  • Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques, which may include:
    • Medical and therapeutic massage
    • Swedish massage
    • Deep-tissue massage
    • Trigger-point therapy
    • Sports massage
    • Prenatal massage
    • Hot-stone massage
    • Reflexology
    • Manual traction
    • Therapeutic stretching
  • Incorporate available enhancements such as aromatherapy, hot stones, stretching, and other complementary techniques when appropriate.
  • Create a calm, healing, professional, and rejuvenating experience for every client.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding their comfort, treatment goals, and response to care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional SOAP notes.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, privacy, and professional-practice standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment room.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Current New York State Massage Therapy License and registration in good standing.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • Experience or proficiency in therapeutic, medical, Swedish, and deep-tissue massage.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, muscular conditions, contraindications, and appropriate treatment modifications.
  • Ability to perform manual stretching and traction techniques safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-service skills.
  • Dependable, professional, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent individualized care.
  • Ability to complete clear and accurate SOAP-note documentation.
