Customer Service Representative – Ocean Freight & ISO Tank
Salary: From $60,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00
Location: The Woodlands, TX 77380 (on-site required)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative with hands-on experience in ocean freight forwarding to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. You will manage customer accounts, coordinate with international offices and suppliers, and ensure smooth execution of import/export shipments — including hazardous and general chemicals via ISO tank and standard containers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Manage and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and service quality
  2. Handle rate requests from internal sales teams and overseas offices; source competitive rates from suppliers (ISO tank depots, truckers, customs brokers)
  3. Independently manage inquiries, quotations, and booking arrangements end-to-end
  4. Coordinate export operations for general and hazardous chemicals via tank and standard containers
  5. Support international offices with US shipping regulations, pricing, and logistics guidance
  6. Identify and onboard new suppliers to meet evolving business needs
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and issue resolution

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  1. 1–3+ years of experience in ocean import/export freight forwarding; ISO tank background strongly preferred
  2. Familiarity with INCO terms, IMDG regulations, and DOT requirements
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power BI
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in group settings and client-facing conversations
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately
  6. Customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
