Shipping Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

For nearly 50 years, we've roasted, flavored, and packaged coffee for some of the biggest names in the industry. Our 150,000-square-foot facility supports over 50 million pounds of coffee production each year.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Role: Shipping Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Pay: $21.00 – $22.25/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30PM – 2:00AM

Reports to: Logistics Manager

What You'll Do:

  • Utilize a forklift to efficiently and safely move and load pallets of finished goods on 53' trailers.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for the entire shipping process of each outbound truck, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organize, consolidate, and strategically place new products in shipping lanes daily, ensuring smooth production flow.
  • Maintain a First-In/First-Out system to guarantee that expiry requirements are met without any spoilage.
  • Overtime may be required to complete loading of pickups on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks in and around storage areas daily, promoting cleanliness and organization.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and refine methods of job performance, seeking out opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Uphold and deliver safe, high-quality, and consistent products and services that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our valued customers.
  • Adhere to the guidelines and requirements outlined in the General Safety Communication Program.
  • Complete any additional duties or tasks that may be assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Forklift Experience Required

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift up to 50-75lbs occasionally
  • Attention to Detail
  • Able to Accurately Perform Repetitive Tasks

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EQUIPMENT:

  • This is a warehouse position inside a warm and dry facility.
  • This position requires work in a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust strong odors.
  • Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.

WORK HABITS:

  • Regular attendance and promptness are required for this position.
  • Some work may be required outside of the normal work week.
