Job description

Northern Sales Company, a trusted name in distribution for over 60 years, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Receiving team member for our Anchorage, AK location. As part of our warehouse operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, handling, and organization of inbound freight. Responsibilities
  • Unload inbound freight from trailer vans up to 53โ€™ in length using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Receive and verify inbound freight against purchase orders
  • Replenish warehouse stock as needed
  • Assist with pulling and sorting customer orders for delivery
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged merchandise to the Warehouse Operations Manager
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Adapt to changing priorities to meet daily deadlines
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts and working in warehouse distribution, or a willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with warehouse flow and distribution processes (1โ€“2 years preferred)
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to follow safety rules and guidelines for forklift operation, or willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site
Compensation

$22.00 per hour
