Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced industrial materials environment. This role will be responsible for managing workflow, coordinating material movement, maintaining accurate reporting, and ensuring operational efficiency across the facility.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable balancing floor oversight with administrative and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations involving inbound and outbound material processing
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency across the facility
  • Track material volumes, inventory movement, and operational metrics through daily/weekly reporting
  • Analyze data and generate reports related to production, material flow, costs, and performance
  • Ensure accurate documentation of incoming/outgoing loads, weights, and inventory records
  • Coordinate scheduling for shipments, pickups, and internal material movement
  • Supervise and support floor personnel, equipment operators, and warehouse staff
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste/loss
  • Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and operational standards
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, planning, and operational strategy
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of operations, warehouse, yard, manufacturing, or industrial management experience
  • Strong reporting, data tracking, and inventory management skills
  • Experience overseeing material flow, logistics, or commodity-based operations preferred
  • Comfortable working both in an office setting and on the floor
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Excel and ERP/inventory management systems
