We are currently recruiting for the position of Shipping Clerk.
Shift Available: Monday-Friday
The tasks and responsibilities required of the Shipping and Receiving Administrator are outlined below:
  • Receive the Bill of Lading (BOL) for inbound trailers from the carrier's driver.
  • Stage BOL for pickup by Warehouse employees to receive and unload trailer.
  • Once the trailer has been unloaded, receive processed documentation from Warehouse Employees.
  • "Depart" the trailer by entering related information into WMS.
  • Enter all related OS&D (over short and damages) information.
  • Works with shift management to ensure all aged put-away from the previous shift unloads are completed.
  • Receive outbound instruction sheets from Shift Management; ensure required empty trailers are available and staged at dock door and updated in WMS.
  • Ensure that all outbound documentation is complete and accurate (Approval signatures, quantities match).
  • Print and complete the BOL to prepare for pickup.
  • Provide outbound paperwork to carrier driver based upon scheduled pickup appointment.
  • Inbound responsibilities include ensuring the proper unloading, transporting and put-away of products to include the assignment of trucks to doors.
  • Outbound responsibilities include the picking, transporting, and loading of products to include sealing of trailers and proper staging of outbound loads.
  • Responsible for following good housekeeping rules to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

The skills and qualifications required for the Shipping Clerk are outlined below:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous general warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • An exceptional attention to detail is critical.
  • Must have excellent communication skills while exhibiting a pleasant and professional demeanor when dealing with customers, carriers, and drivers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as bill of lading (BOL).
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet business needs.
