Job description


The Student Worker, Trade Operations provides administrative and operational support to the Trade Operations team, with a primary focus on trade show logistics and Canadian cross-border transportation compliance. This position offers hands-on experience in transportation, customs, logistics, and freight industry while supporting critical business functions related to freight movement and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Trade Operations personnel with trade show shipment management and tracking.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound trade show freight to ensure timely delivery and return.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating freight pickups, trade show entries and deliveries.
  • Support data entry and reporting related to trade show transportation activities.
  • Review shipment information for accuracy and completeness prior to customs processing.
  • Assist with commodity description reviews and edits to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Review CCTV footage and shipment documentation to assist in identifying unmanifested cross-border freight.
  • Research and document findings related to freight compliance investigations.
  • Escalate compliance concerns and documentation discrepancies to Trade Operations leadership.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, required.
Experience:
  • No prior experience necessary
