Title -ย  Healthcare Navigator

Duration - 3 months with conversion to another contract job

Shift -ย  8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM

Location - Los Angeles 90033

Dress code: Business Casual

Parking: Employee Paid

Payrate - $37.70/h

Position Summary

The OHNS department is seeking temporary support staff to assist the Healthcare Navigator team with administrative, clinical intake, and documentation workflows. This role ensures timely access to patient information, accurate chart preparation, and efficient coordination of records to support expeditious patient scheduling and care preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Request medical records from outside clinics, hospitals, laboratories, and radiology facilities.
  • Receive and process inbound radiology imaging and upload to patient charts.
  • Create new patient charts in Cerner and populate them with external documentation.
  • Monitor inbound referrals and escalate urgent cases to Healthcare Navigators.
  • Manage incoming group email and fax inboxes; upload documents or route to Healthcare Navigators for review.
  • Send registration forms and patient information to new patients via email.
  • Assist Healthcare Navigators in preparing patient charts by ensuring complete medical history, records, and insurance-related documentation (authorizations, orders, etc.).
  • Perform other administrative tasks to support patient preparedness and workflow efficiency.

Desired Experience

  • Prior healthcare back-office or clinical administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of ENT/OHNS practice preferred.
  • Experience working with EMR systems, ideally Cerner.

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient.
  • Able to work independently and follow established processes.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including:
  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel,

Minimum Education Required:

HS Diploma, Bachelorโ€™s preferred.
