Background

To support our client centric business model, LRQA is growing our commercial teams. These teams consist of Inside sales, External sales and corporate account managers.

The Inside Sales team at LRQA is responsible for Lead Generation, Transaction Sales and Engaging with Dormant Clients so that we can

  • Reach out to more clients and understand their needs’;
  • use this information to plan how we will meet those needs; and
  • support external sales.

The Inside Sales Team will serve as the interface between our clients and LRQA teams (e.g. Service Delivery, External Sales, Marketing, and Service Delivery Support) to ensure we expand our reach and develop services, marketing & sales strategies which are relevant to each specific client group so that we can grow the life time value of our existing clients and maintain our high end brand positioning.

To enhance our client network, increase transaction sales, engage with dormant clients, support external sales teams, acquire new business:

  • Generate new client contacts
  • To build and enhance customer relationships, identify business opportunities
  • Support external sales team with potential leads
  • Secure transactional contracts
  • To work with Operations and Customer Service to retain current client base and to sustain current relationships and improve share of wallet and profitability of existing client portfolio.
  • Work closely with marketing colleagues to ensure good quality leads
Key Responsibilities
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers in the assigned region,
  • Track and proactively connect with potential leads thru Salesforce – analyse, qualify and reassign the same to External Sales as appropriate
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Manage active leads in the region
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers and contacts
  • Support External Sales
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure quality leads
  • Ensure all commercial contracts for Transaction Sales are quoted efficiently and calculated with the required level of profitability
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customer services and technical delivery teams
  • Collect feedback from clients and work with internal teams to resolve client concerns;
  • Keep strong communication lines open with other sales colleagues, account managers and business development community across the wider LRQA Group.
  • Monitor and report on all client meetings and visits for each client, including relevant competitor activity. Disseminate this information to line manager. Contribute to appropriate sales review meetings.
  • Support and represent LRQA at industry events, local seminars and presentations as required.
  • Follow LRQA Governance Procedures / guidelines
  • To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Contribute to protecting and enhancing the reputation of LRQA and to improving the business, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, supporting the implementation of change to meet the future needs of the business.
  • Always assess the risks and work in a safe manner, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake or sell work that compromises your or your colleague's safety or health.
  • Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.
Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements
  • 1 A bachelor’s degree with experience in manufacturing/power/downstream/upstream Energy sectors.
  • 2 At least 5 years relevant experience in lead generation, sales/marketing and client facing role with proven track record of securing contracts.
  • 3 Experience of identifying client and business opportunities.
  • 4 Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • 5 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels – both inside our organisation and outside in the business.
  • 6 Strong commercial awareness - in particular, basic understanding of financial and non-financial information
  • 7 Understanding of sales and marketing principles, including CRM principles. Experienced with using sales CRM systems like e.g. Salesforce will be an advantage.
  • 8 Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • 9 Committed to continuous personal development through continually looking for opportunities to improve sales skills
  • 10 Excellent IT skills - Word, Excel, Internet, PowerPoint, databases and email- software. Agile to adapt technology.
  • 11 Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence clients and colleagues to deliver excellence
