Job description

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.

Our Inside Sales team is fundamental in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of daily calls, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and setting appointments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls, emails, and text messaging.
  • Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment, and services to potential customers
  • Gather information from prospective customers to identify their solar energy needs.
  • Provide customers with information, such as quotes, orders, sales, warranties, credit, funding options, incentives, or tax rebates.
  • Qualify, convert, and follow the current process for scheduling appointments for outside sales teams.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Complete daily confirmations, and follow-up communication with outside reps
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Solar experience preferred

Working Conditions: *In Office Position*

Fast-paced, open floor office environment with significant computer and phone usage. Utilization of complex systems. Speed and accuracy are essential to the successful completion of tasks.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular requirement to talk, or hear; frequent requirement to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. May encounter interruptions throughout the work day.

6-8 Hour Shifts

8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Monday through Friday)

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Rotating Saturdays)
