Job Details: Full-Time, Permanent Position, Current Vacancy

Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

About the Role

The Training Specialist partners with the Learning & Development team to design, develop, and deliver effective instructor-led and eLearning programs for our entry-level insurance professionals. Leveraging adult learning principles and modern learning technologies, you will create engaging learning experiences that build technical expertise, support employee development, and drive business success.

What You'll Do

  • Design clear learning objectives that align with business goals and employee development needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, validate, and organize content for training programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engaging eLearning and blended learning solutions using Articulate 360, Easygenerator, and related learning technologies.
  • Create and administer assessments, evaluations, and feedback tools to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention.
  • Partner with Learning & Development team members and business stakeholders to support training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Design practical, task-based learning experiences that build technical expertise, confidence, and performance in insurance-related roles.
  • Monitor and update learning content to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business processes.

What You Bring

  • Expert knowledge of Personal and Commercial Auto and Property insurance products and operations.
  • Active RIBO licence, Alberta insurance licence, and/or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • Certificate in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Coaching, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering formal training, facilitation, coaching, or adult learning programs.
  • Working knowledge of Epic and Applied Rating Services (ARS).
  • Experience developing eLearning content using Articulate 360, Easygenerator, or comparable learning management and authoring tools.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
