Through collaboration and a shared sense of purpose, our team works each day to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. The RoleAs Janitorial Staff at Mel Trotter Ministries, your work protects a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for guests and team members—an essential foundation for the care we provide. You’ll keep our facilities clean, sanitary, and ready for daily services through consistent, detail-focused upkeep.Key responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms (including restocking supplies), tables/counters/chairs, doors and window glass; sorting and disposing of trash properly; laundering bedding and towels using laundry equipment; seasonal exterior tasks such as sidewalk snow removal, parking lot and grounds cleanup, and landscaping upkeep; following all safety rules and OSHA guidelines; using and disposing of cleaning tools/products per manufacturer instructions; and promptly reporting safety concerns or supply needs.Required skills/qualifications:- Ability to follow written instructions and safety standards- Reliable, steady work habits and attention to detail- Comfort performing physical, hands-on cleaning tasks indoors and outdoors Your Daily RhythmYou’ll start by checking priority areas and setting up your cart so the busiest spaces are ready early. As the day moves, you’ll rotate between common areas and behind-the-scenes spaces—resetting rooms after use, staying alert to spills or safety concerns, and coordinating quick touch-ups when schedules change.Some days include laundry cycles and stocking runs; others call for stepping outside to clear entrances, tidy the lot, or handle seasonal grounds needs.
