Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty member teaches EAP, English for Academic Purposes courses.
What you will be doing
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Master's Degree in TESOL or Master's Degree and 18 graduate hours in TESOL preferred. Master's Degree in Linguistics, Foreign Languages, English or Education with one of the following: 18 graduate credit hours focusing on language instruction or two years of teaching experience in ESL
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
