About the role
We are seeking an In Room Dining Supervisor at Hotel Bardo Savannah, our luxury urban resort in the heart of Forsyth Park. This hands-on leader will oversee the daily execution of in-room dining service, supporting the team while ensuring each order is delivered accurately, efficiently, and with the elevated presentation and personalized service expected of Hotel Bardo.
The In-Room Dining Supervisor will coordinate closely with culinary and hotel operations, maintain service and sanitation standards, assist with training and shift leadership, and step directly into service as business needs require.
This is an onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah.
What you'll do
  • Supervise daily in-room dining operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and polished service throughout each shift.
  • Lead and support in-room dining servers, providing direction, coaching, and assistance during service.
  • Monitor order flow from placement through preparation, delivery, setup, and tray retrieval.
  • Review guest orders for accuracy, special requests, dietary restrictions, and appropriate presentation.
  • Coordinate closely with the culinary team to support proper timing, food quality, and temperature.
  • Ensure trays, tables, service equipment, condiments, and utensils are prepared and maintained according to established standards.
  • Deliver orders and assist with service during high-volume periods or when additional support is needed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, service recovery needs, and special requests.
  • Maintain working knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, beverage selections, wine pairings, and dietary accommodations.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members, reinforcing service expectations and operating procedures.
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, food safety, and sanitation within all in-room dining work and service areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, shift assignments, supply levels, and operational communication.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Culinary, and other hotel departments to coordinate guest preferences and requests.
  • Communicate service issues, equipment needs, guest feedback, and operational concerns to Food & Beverage leadership.

Qualifications
  • Previous in-room dining, room service, restaurant, or luxury hotel food and beverage experience required.
  • Previous supervisory, lead server, trainer, or shift-lead experience preferred.
  • Strong service mindset with the ability to lead by example in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Ability to motivate and support a team while remaining actively involved in daily service.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, presentation, and guest preferences.
  • Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accountability during shifts with limited oversight.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service standards.
  • ServSafe, alcohol-service, and wine certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to endure frequent physical movement, lift and transport service equipment, and work throughout various hotel areas.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
