Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies
  • Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, communicating concerns to providers, supervisors, and families as appropriate
  • Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and enteral feedings within the RN scope of practice
  • Accurately document assessments, care provided, treatments, and resident responses
  • Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care and timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Ensure resident care plans and clinical documentation remain current and accurate
  • Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff education activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to supervise nursing assistants and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
