Registered Nurse (RN) - Exceptional Care and Leadership Opportunity

Position Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team by overseeing staff assignments and providing comprehensive supervision of resident care. Your responsibilities encompass ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care by adhering to established policies and procedures, as well as following the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • Educational Background: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with a current licensure in the state of Kansas.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical:

  • Complete all required Registered Nurse (RN) record-keeping forms and charts during a resident's admission, discharge, transfer, and other important events. Ensure that these records are appropriately filed in the resident's chart and/or forwarded to the relevant department.
  • Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including making necessary arrangements for transportation and packing.
  • Administer professional services, including but not limited to catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures as outlined by the facility's policies and procedures.

Supervision:

  • Collaborate with the facility's consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
  • Investigate and address complaints and grievances, providing necessary oral and written reports to the DON.
  • Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of your shift duty hours.
  • Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure that prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel/assistants and to assess their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Keep the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
