Job description

As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, the Registered Nurse coordinates, performs and evaluates interventional diagnostic radiology examinations and provides patient care to meet the clients and family needs with the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates in a teaching and research environment and functions independently with diverse & complex patient population and procedures in all area of Diagnostic Services. Rotation though all modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements may be required.

1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
2. Current BCLS registration
3. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or willingness to certify.
4. Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or willingness to certify if applying at a site which specializes in pediatric patients
5. 1 year recent (within 2 years) experience in critical care or emergency room nursing
6. 1 year recent (within 2 years) experience in Procedural Room or Operating Room nursing.
7. Port-a-Cath and Central Line Access certified
8. PACU and/or assessment component of the critical care course
9. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
10. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
11. Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development
12. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
13. Within 30 minutes for call to site.
