Job description

As a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team, the Registered Nurse will collaborate in the provision of therapeutic services for clients with primarily acquired brain injury and mental health rehabilitation needs. 


 

1. Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse 
2. Heart and Stroke Foundation CPR course at the Heartsaver Plus level 
3. Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years in the field of neurological rehabilitation with acquired brain injury 
4. Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years with clients who have mental health needs 
5. Demonstrated collaborative approach to daily interactions that support respectful and effective working relationships with clients, families, the rehabilitation team and the community 
6. Demonstrated sound professional judgment and initiative based on training and experience 
7. Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills 
8. Demonstrated team leadership, staff training and mentoring skills to work both independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision 
9. Evidence of commitment to continuing education
