Position Summary
A healthcare facility in Wyoming is seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the establishment of a new home dialysis program (home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and manage in-center hemodialysis (HD) services for a small startup unit. This is a ground-floor opportunity, with the RN working closely with nephrologists, administrators, and certifying agencies to launch and develop the program. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in home HD, PD, and in-center HD, along with familiarity in Baxter (Vantive) and Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) dialysis systems. Prior managerial or startup experience in launching dialysis programs is highly desirable.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with local government and healthcare regulators to secure all necessary certifications and licenses for launching the dialysis unit.
  • Coordinate state and CMS certification inspections and documentation.
Equipment & Systems Management

  • Develop training materials and user guidelines for equipment operation.
Program Development & Patient Care
  • Lead the creation of a patient-centric dialysis care model.
  • Establish infection control practices, emergency protocols, and supply management systems.
  • Assist in building an interdisciplinary care team (social work, dietitian, etc.) and developing workflows.
  • Once patients are enrolled, take the lead in training and educating home dialysis patients (and their caregivers) on safe dialysis practices.
  • Oversee in-center HD treatments, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Experience in implementing best-in-class dialysis practices.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with Baxter (Vantive) and Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) dialysis machines.
  • Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and train others on PD cyclers and HD machines.
  • Clinic Startup/Management Experience (Preferred):
  • Prior experience launching a new dialysis program or clinic.
  • Charge nurse or managerial experience in a dialysis setting.
  • Understanding of CMS certification, state health department regulations, and dialysis program compliance.
Required Skills & Abilities
