Job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with perioperative experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate expertise in various nursing practices. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


This position will primarily station in our McAllen office but will include travel to our other locations in Texas.


Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Prepare patients for pain management procedures.
  • Monitor patients through discharge.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment.
  • Participate in emergency medicine situations, providing triage as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Train medical assistants on proper patient care.
  • Travel to satellite clinics to assist providers with pain management procedures performed in-office setting.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of operating room supplies and medications.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in acute pain management, emergency medicine, and triage preferred.
  • Familiarity with coding processes related to nursing practices is a plus.
  • Experience working in operating room or ASC, pre-op and post-op.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in nursing.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion.
