Job description

Travel RN-Med Surg/Tele
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Shift: 6:45PM - 7:15 AM
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Estimated Pay Package: $2,000 (including stipend)
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Address must be 80+ miles from the facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously.
  • Conduct patient assessments and report any changes in condition promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, observations, and interventions according to hospital policies.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and procedures related to cardiac care.
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate nursing interventions in a timely manner.

Requirements
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; compact license accepted if applicable.
  • Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
  • Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize cardiac emergencies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare settings as needed.
