Part-Time | Day Shift | Every Other Weekend Required

We are hiring a Part-Time Receptionist to join our team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This position is ideal for a friendly, dependable, and professional individual who enjoys helping people and providing excellent customer service.

As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, physicians, staff, and guests. You will provide a welcoming experience while handling front desk, telephone, administrative, and clerical responsibilities.

Receptionist Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet residents, families, visitors, physicians, vendors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the facility's front desk.

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member, and take accurate messages.

  • Provide information to residents, families, visitors, and callers according to facility policies and procedures.

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to questions, requests, and concerns.

  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and facility departments.

  • Assist new residents with orientation to facility services, including telephone, cable, dietary preferences, laundry, activities, and other services.

  • Maintain and update the resident directory, including resident names, room locations, and telephone extensions.

  • Maintain accurate records, files, correspondence, appointments, and administrative documents.

  • Open, distribute, and forward incoming mail.

  • Assist with clerical and administrative duties for facility leadership and other departments.

  • Record appointments, meetings, and other important information for administrative staff.

  • Announce appropriate notifications over the public address system.

  • Assist with employment applications and provide applications to prospective employees.

  • Contact appropriate individuals or agencies during emergencies as directed.

  • Assist with coordinating resident and family requests and ensuring concerns are appropriately communicated and followed up on.

  • Help promote a positive experience for residents, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Support facility compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and facility policies.

  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Receptionist Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, administrative assistant, or healthcare experience preferred.

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, assisted living facility, or other healthcare setting is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to interact positively with residents, families, visitors, physicians, staff, vendors, and community members.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
