Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking an attorney located in our Phoenix, Arizona office to assist with and facilitate the continued growth and expansion of our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience as either an outside lawyer or with an in-house law department with a preference for engineering, professional services, or construction.

The position will collaborate and work with our operations and technical teams to draft and negotiate client contracts and subcontracts for engineering, consulting, surveying and construction management services in addition to providing general legal advice and counseling. The position will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer.

As Counsel for Civil & Environmental Consultants your responsibilities will include:

    Drafting and negotiating client contracts and subcontracts for engineering, environmental consulting, surveying and construction management services
  • Advising the business on other legal issues including human resources
  • Providing advice on compliance and corporate governance
  • Assisting with training the organization on legal and contractual issues
  • Embracing and exemplifying CEC's core values
  • Taking ownership of client relationships and work
  • Applying legal and business knowledge to proactively support growth and innovation
