Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring support with daily activities and health management. This vital role offers the opportunity to create meaningful connections while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of those in your care. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life through personalized care plans and attentive support. Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient observations, including vital signs, to track health status and report changes promptly
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting
  • Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheter care tools to promote safe mobility and hygiene
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Conduct home safety assessments, cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment
  • Provide compassionate support in hospice settings or during end-of-life care situations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia training are a plus
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs
  • Excellent observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health changes promptly
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their families
