Job description

Faculty Position - Department of Prosthetics-Orthotics, School of Health Professions

Join our dynamic clinical team within the Department of Prosthetics-Orthotics, proudly serving two leading University Hospitals, Children's Health Hospital, and a diverse network of premier physical therapy and multidisciplinary specialty clinics.

This faculty position offers a unique blend of full-time clinical practice and academic mentorship. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while actively contributing to the education and development of students and residents in a collaborative clinical environment.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate professional who thrives in team-based healthcare settings and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive inpatient orthotic care across hospital settings

Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule

Manage cranial remolding orthosis cases

Provide general orthotic and prosthetic care in outpatient clinics

Mentor and support students and residents in clinical training

Minimum Qualifications:

ABC Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or ABC Certification in Orthotics.

Must have graduated from an NCOPE-accredited program. Master's degree is preferred.

The selected applicant must apply for a Texas license upon hire.

Applicants must have strong clinical skills with prior hospital experience.
