Our client, a leader in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a QC Inspector to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This role is responsible for inspecting in process and completed assemblies.
Type: Contract to hire
Location: Fairfield County, CT
Rate: $17-$22/hr dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections using approved tools and procedures.
  • Verify products and components comply with company drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Document inspection results to maintain accurate records and full traceability.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformances while supporting product disposition decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal and external audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform additional quality-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED is required.
  • 0+ years in medical device/healthcare manufacturing or quality inspection experience in an FDA-regulated environment

Preferred Background
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA quality system regulations, and quality inspection practices in a regulated environment.
  • Certifications: ASQ Certification (Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician) preferred.
