Job Description
Ensure the compliance of parts and assemblies to contractual requirements by performing first article, in process and final mechanical inspection through the use of drawings, processes, wire connection lists, mil specs and work instructions in conjunction with hand tools and measuring equipment. Properly document and disposition defects found during mechanical inspections and communicate results to the responsible activities for use in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Familiarity with the use of PC based applications used in defect reporting. Interpret and execute working level policies and procedures to ensure contractual and ethical compliance. Assist in the identification, documentation, control and disposition of non conforming material. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. May be requested to climb to perform their job responsibilities.
US citizenship is required.
This position is contingent on contract award and funding which is August 2026

Ability to read and interpret detailed Drawings/Wire Connection Lists/Military Specifications.
Proficient in the use of hand precision measuring tools.
Ability to identify and disposition non conforming material.
Ability to understand and identify workmanship

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $30.67 - $39.77.
