Amuneal's Technical Products Division is the country's largest and most respected supplier of magnetic shielding, while our award-winning Custom Fabrication Division creates original designs for high-end residential and commercial interiors.
Amuneal Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our Technical Products division. Operating within our ISO9001:2015-certified environment, this is a heavy industrial/precision manufacturing role dealing with high-performance alloys and metallurgy. Ideal candidates must possess a strong background in aerospace, defense, precision machining, or metal fabrication.
Our work is custom in nature and continuously evolving. As part of our fast-paced, dedicated, and extremely talented team, you will work on a diverse set of challenging projects. This is an in-person role that will work on a 4-day, 10-hour work week from 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday and will require overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials.
  • Perform and document First Article Inspections when required by the customer or quality management.
  • Verify product conformance using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, and FaroArm.
  • Record and track inspection data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all quality-related documentation.
  • Execute tests and analyze and interpret results against established specifications and control limits to determine material appropriateness and eligibility for release.
  • Review and analyze customer-provided specifications to ensure engineering and manufacturing capabilities align with project demands.
  • Maintain inspection equipment in accordance with Amuneal's internal procedures and any relevant customer specifications.
  • Ensure drawings, work instructions, and procedures are maintained to current revisions and are accessible to team members.
  • Support and assist in performing routine internal audits of processes and people, as directed by senior leadership.
  • Provide training to new operators and quality team members as directed by senior leadership.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/ GED required; associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or technical school preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an AS9100 or ISO9001 certified organization in a quality role OR as a highly skilled machinist or machine operator.
  • Must be highly proficient in blueprint reading, interpreting complex engineering drawings, and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
  • Use of CMM/ FaroArm strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team setting as well as the discipline to perform solo tasks.
