Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support quality inspection activities for aerospace metal components. This role involves performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring tools, operating CMM equipment, and interpreting technical drawings in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform incoming, first article, in-process, and final inspections following standard procedures.
* Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment and perform manual bench inspections.
* Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
* Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.
* Verify calibration status of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Identify and report defective materials, non-conformances, and unusual conditions to supervision.
* Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
* Ensure work area and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product conformance.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* 2-3 years of experience inspecting metal parts, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
* Experience using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Basic shop math skills for measurements and calculations.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
* Experience operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment (preferred)
