Our OSI Electronics division is a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and value-added manufacturing services for use in a broad range of applications, including aerospace and defense electronics, security and inspection systems, and medical monitoring and diagnostics.
OSI Electronics is seeking an In-Process Inspector to join their team. This individual will perform final inspections on PCBAs in accordance with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards, customer drawings and manufacturing instructions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process inspection and final inspections for PCBAs after soldering, bonding or conformal coating, mechanical operation, or testing per production traveler or router and customer BOM and drawings.
  • Perform soldering workmanship inspection per IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
  • Perform AOI verification, X-RAY inspection.
  • Perform SMT setup verifications.
  • Perform First Article Inspection or First Piece Inspection per production traveler.
  • Verify production documentation sign off for completeness, accountability and traceability.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in PCBA production environment required.
  • Soldering workmanship inspection experience required.
  • IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification or training preferred.
  • Prior PCBA assembly or soldering operator experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience of operating AOI and X-RAY inspection equipment preferred.
  • Ability to perform inspection under microscope required.
  • Must be able to distinguish and identify colors as well as judge distances and spatial relationships with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and drawing dimensional callouts. Understand BOM.
  • Ability to use typical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and etc.
  • Basic knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or ISO 13485.
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally effectively communicate in the business language (English).
  • Working knowledge of computer basic skills and Microsoft Office. Manufacturing and inventory software knowledge, a plus.

Pay may range from $20.00 to $21.00 hourly
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
