Job Summary

The Packager is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications and optimizing the productivity of the machine processing line. This role involves selecting and maintaining packaging materials, operating packaging equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety standards.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities 

  • Packaging: Package finished products for storage and shipment, adhering to customer specifications
  • Material Management: Select and maintain an adequate supply of packaging materials for processing and warehouse activities
  • Tool Maintenance: Keep a working set of tools required for packaging tasks
  • Specification Adherence: Read and follow both standard and special packaging specifications
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and properly operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging equipment
  • Documentation: Complete and inspect paperwork, tagging, and final packaging of finished products
  • Product Transfer: Move finished products to storage or shipping areas as needed
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area according to company policies
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with processing crew members and company management
