Job Summary:


The primary purpose of this role is to perform machine set up, troubleshoot machine issues, and run an assigned machine. While operating equipment the operator will put an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping.


Work hours: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm (8 hours), including every other Saturday as needed


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, make ready, and operate equipment
  • Perform quality checks and stack finished product
  • Record production data with accuracy
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical maintenance
  • Identify operational improvements as needed
  • Runs equipment at optimal level at all times to meet daily production goals (OEE and OTD)
  • Maintains work area and tools
  • Adheres to work quality standards, standard of work, and safety standards

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred or prior bindery experience preferred, but not required
  • 3+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • Ability to do basic troubleshooting when a piece of equipment or machinery is not functioning
  • Interpret and follow directions with precision
  • Basic computer skills for job detail input and machine operation
  • Excellent collaborative skills
