KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the integration, test, and evaluation of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems such as GPS and Inertial systems. This position supports laboratory-based and operationally relevant systems across research and applied DoD programs.


This position requires a solid foundation in systems engineering and PNT fundamentals, with the ability to work across hardware, software, and test boundaries. The engineer will work closely with software engineers and hardware teams to support and perform concept development, prototyping, integration, test, and assessment of PNT system performance in laboratory and field environments for offensive and defensive systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute integration of hardware, software, and test infrastructure
  • Develop and manage system requirements, interfaces, and verification approaches
  • Lead or support laboratory, HITL/SITL, and field test activities RF systems
  • Evaluate system performance, limitations, and risks based on test and analysis results
  • Coordinate with software engineers to ensure algorithm assumptions align with hardware and system constraints
  • Support development of system architectures, trade studies, and evaluation strategies
  • Document system designs, test plans, and results to support technical reviews and customer deliverables
  • Participate in team technical interchange meetings to describe technical activities, progress, issues, improvements, and more.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Theory, or a related technical discipline
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in systems engineering, integration, or test for technical systems
  • Experience developing system requirements and supporting verification and validation activities
  • Experience supporting laboratory or fielded test environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting RF, PNT or navigation system integration and testing
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Familiarity with PNT systems and concepts (e.g., Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), inertial navigation, timing)
  • Experience with HIL/SIL test architectures or laboratory automation
  • Familiarity with modeling, simulation, or digital engineering approaches
  • Experience supporting DoD programs, laboratory R&D, or operational prototyping efforts

Basic Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 (For Beavercreek, OH Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
