Salary Range: $40 - $45/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)

Introduction
The Project Manager / Product Owner for Ethos Final Expense is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery and evolution of digital life insurance products within a fast-paced insurtech ecosystem. This role combines product ownership and delivery management to drive the development of Final Expense offerings, ensuring seamless integration with policy administration platforms, third-party data providers, and customer-facing applications. The role requires strong expertise in life insurance products, digital underwriting, insurance data standards, and Agile delivery, with the ability to align business goals, customer experience, and technical execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in Product Management / Product Ownership and Project Management (insurance or insurtech preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance lifecycle: Policy administration, Underwriting, Issuance and servicing
  • Experience with Final Expense / Simplified Issue products and Digital life insurance platforms (Ethos, Ladder, Haven Life models)
  • Hands-on experience with Policy administration systems, Carrier integrations, and API-based architectures
  • Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data exchange
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with platforms such as Guidewire, FAST, Vitech, CyberLife, Salesforce or CRM-driven insurance ecosystems
  • Knowledge of Third-party data integrations (MIB, LexisNexis, Rx data, etc.) and Digital underwriting and rules engines
  • Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
  • Understanding of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Final Expense offerings
  • Lead end-to-end product development, including policy structure, underwriting rules, and feature enhancements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, UX/design teams, carrier partners, and underwriting and compliance teams
  • Drive customer journey optimization: Quote → eApplication → underwriting → issuance
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for product launches and enhancements
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams: Engineering, Compliance, Marketing, Sales
  • Track progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring timely delivery
  • Facilitate communication between product, engineering, and operations teams
  • Lead Agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, Release planning
