Job description

Looking for a Senior Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team and help us build and accelerate our insurance partner pipeline. This is a high-activity, high-visibility role designed for someone who has already proven they can generate pipeline and is ready to take the next step toward a closing role. You will identify, engage, and qualify opportunities across insurance carriers, MGAs, program administrators, public entity risk pools, and brokerages.
This role is a direct track to an Account Executive position for the right candidate. InsurTech is one of the fastest-growing sectors in B2B SaaS, and is positioned at the center of it. If you are hungry, coachable, and ready to grow into a full-cycle closer within a booming industry, this is the opportunity.
What You Will Do
•Execute 50+ outbound calls per day to generate qualified meetings
•Research target accounts and prospects to craft personalized outreach that speaks directly to their business challenges, tech stack, recent initiatives, or industry trends — moving beyond templates to drive meaningful engagement.
•Supplement phone outreach with email, LinkedIn, and other touchpoints
•Build and maintain relationships over time with prospects through consistent, value-driven outreach. The relationships you make early in this role will directly impact your future sales success as an AE
•Research and identify target contacts within carriers, mutuals, MGAs, pools, program administrators, and brokerages
•Represent at industry conferences and trade shows
•Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in Salesforce
•Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging based on market feedback
What You Will Bring
•6 to 12 months of BDR or SDR experience with a documented track record of hitting or exceeding quota
•Demonstrated success in cold calling, including comfort with high-volume phone outreach
•A people-first mindset: you genuinely enjoy meeting people, building relationships, and representing a brand in person
•Willingness and availability to travel for conferences and client meetings
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and outreach platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, or similar)
•A competitive, coachable attitude and a desire to grow quickly into a full closing role
•Interest in or exposure to insurance, insurtech, or B2B SaaS is a plus

Base salary: $ 60-85k ($110-$125k OTE)

Required Skills / Qualifications:
* 1 year of proven experience in B2B Enterprise SaaS sales, Insurtech, or insurance adjacent solutions

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

*Strong relationship management, discovery, storytelling, and value-based selling skills

*Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred

*Ability to engage prospects and build rapport with diverse stakeholders and executive level contacts

*Exceptional communication, organization, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and think creatively about proposals

*Familiarity with Insurer tech stacks, e.g., core platforms. Experience with CMMS, asset management, or facility management solutions is a plus

*Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), outreach tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io), and Microsoft Office Suite

*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
